Why am I doing this?

That’s an excellent question.

Maybe I felt like I needed a place to word-vomit and express myself. I’m in a huge transitional phase, having been laid-off about a month ago, deciding to move to Kansas (from Arizona) to be closer to my husband’s family, and changing careers and pursuing a project management certification.

But if I dig deeper, it’s just because I had $27 to burn.

The internet has always been a source of community for me. It started off with AOL chatrooms and moved on to social media (via MySpace). Hell, I met my husband on Twitter in 2012. The internet is where my friends live, where I get my news, what I do with my down-time. It’s magic.

My therapist recommended a place called Bahama Bucks like two years ago. We finally went today, and it was quite tasty. But also quite pricy. I feel like snow cones should be $5 maximum.

Two little cuties enjoying their overly-priced snow cone treats.
